An ode to transitions. Herbal ingredients were slowly gathered throughout the seasons from the forests, valleys and river banks of California. Warming spices, resinous oils and wild botanical infusions can be found in this seasons offerings to provide comfort, healing and luxury through the cold months to come.
Wild Crafted
All wild plant material is ethically foraged in reciprocity. Only small portions are harvested during appropriate seasons, seeds are collected and planted to regenerate growth, low impact harvest techniques are practiced and invasive species are utilized. All of this is done with deep reverence for the sacredness of plant medicine and the earth.
Local Commerce
As a one-woman company based in California, it is meaningful to support local small businesses whenever possible. S+S products include beeswax, herbs and honey sourced from Nevada County small farms, sea salt and seaweed hail from the Humboldt coast, organic olive and almond oil is grown in the central valley of California and small farm organic jojoba oil is grown and cold-pressed in the Sonoran desert of Arizona.
Quality Ingredients
S+S values the highest quality ingredients. All oils, herbs and additions are sourced from organic, fair trade, non-gmo or otherwise ethical companies whenever possible. If ingredients cannot be found locally or domestically they will be sourced from the most sustainable option available.
Sustainable Materials
Low waste and plastic free packaging is a priority and includes recyclable tins and jars and 100% compostable shipping materials. All of the materials used in S+S handmade goods are made from scrap, up-cycled, organic or fair trade materials.
